The AMD Radeon HD 8610G is a processor graphics card with some low-voltage AMD Richland APUs (A10-5745M). It features a full 384 shader kernel (VLIW4 architecture) and clocks from 533 to 626 MHz. The 8610G does not have special graphics memory, but it shares the main memory with the CPU core.
The integrated video decoder (UVD3) enables full decoding of Multi-View Codec (MVC), MPEG-4 Part 2 (DivX, xVid), MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 and Adobe Flash HD video.
According to the clock rates, performance is similar to Radeon HD 7660G or Intel HD Graphics 4600. For this reason, the Radeon HD 8610G is as fast as the HD 6650M or NVIDIA GeForce GT 620M. But without fast dual-channel memory, performance drops significantly. Chip shaders can also be used for general calculations.
