New Words & Definitions
In this thread we are going to deal with new words and it's better to give their definitions with them. It might be a noun, verb, adj, adv, or a phrasal verb. Try to choose tough ones.
In addition, if you don't know the word you may want to write a sentence, so we can reply that you got it or not.
wean (someone) off (something) : to make someone gradually stop depending on something that they like and have become used to, especially a drug or a bad habit
We’re trying to wean ourselves off watching too much television.
My sentence is here: I've decided to wean myself off playing computer games since I've realized I waste my time on it.
(The sentence I've made up may include some mistakes, if it has you should just tell it.)
